What if... We met before?
And I don't mean that we've forgotten.
I mean... Before we could even remember...
What if, before we knew ourselves, we knew each other?
...

When you're asleep I start conversing with the moon,
Then, ask for it to tell the sun all my intentions when the mood's right
It's just... I figured that since you'd be waking up soon
You'd get a feel for all my thoughts while warming your skin with the smooth light.
...

When talking to you there's a smile on my face
Knowing that you are right there with me calms my mind and my pace
You rest peacefully in my mind during the times that you're away
"Please don't let my other thoughts awake you" is the thing that I pray...
...

I'll give you food for thought, then, really feed your stomach...
Pray for you, although, it's dreams you're hunting.
I know your heart, being turned, like it's been squeezed of lovin'
Caused you to close up like Pixar's screen/ production
...

I'm tryna define myself but feel I lack the means to do it
I'm coasting between my selves, my "trouble" one and the improvement
Steady treading shallow deeps in attempts to balance, the truth is
My communication's great, yet, when it comes to you it's useless...
...

If and since I'm down to earth, you feel like sunlight on the dirt
Although I know you're kind because you're used to being hurt
You feel you're lost sometimes 'cause you're not used to being searched
To find the things you view as perks or sought to see what you are worth
...

I feel like I'm wearing your shoes and even though that sounds insane..
We're wearing opened-toe'ds, we've both been stubbed, we know that pain
You probably don't have many that can actually relate
But I relate to you like kin... does Ryu.. though it's no game
...

I found you in a place I never thought I would... A place where I resigned
The thoughts of finding anybody who was ever worth my time
I found you when I lost myself to shallow deeps and rubble climbs
And... garbage heaps, and... troubled minds that didn't understand that I
...

You're from around the block like containers for lego pieces
...A part of something grander, though, I'm sure that you don't see it
You don't see how, at this moment, you've just became interweaved in
A picture so big enough that we could see we're pixels meeting
...

Why can't I just be myself? Being me is how I'm designed
You have these boxes and these labels that fit nowhere in my mind
I think it's time for, I, to shine the shine inside these eyes of mine
Not binded by these blinded eyes who see all, but, what I've inside
