Seems Familiar Poem by The Writer Way

Seems Familiar

Rating: 1.0

What if... We met before?
And I don't mean that we've forgotten.
I mean... Before we could even remember...
What if, before we knew ourselves, we knew each other?
They say that us, as beings, are composed of two parts. A physical. And a spiritual.
The spiritual, being a being of energy.. Of life. And the physical, what we see.

What if, before our energy was channeled into what we are, we already were?
Interacting with each other.
Intertwining with each other.
Engaging in dances or conversations around the stars, orbiting around each other like planets gravitating towards the other,
Choosing to be locked at the hips like a keychain or two arthritis prone old folks?

What if our beings, our energies, were originally creating material that God molded, gaining personalities by being around him for so long, before being hammered like molten metal into consciousness?
Would that explain why us focusing on him brings us closer to each other?
Why, you, so easily, effect my mental state?
Why I feel a reverberating ache more from you than anyone else?

What if you were mine before you were yours?
..Before you were your family's?
Before you were yourself, or, even your mom's?
... And I was just as equally yours?
Would that explain why it feels we're meant to be? Why we Feel the same?
Why it feels like your very being was made for mine, and mine, tailored to yours?

Why we're the same crazy?

...Because other than that I have no idea why, the way we are, makes any sense..
Though it doesnt.
I don't know you, but, it feels like I do.
It hasnt been long since we met, yet, it feels like I've known you forever...
So, what if I have?

What if I've always known you?
And, you, me?
Before we knew it.
