Sent To You Poem by The Writer Way

Sent To You

When you're asleep I start conversing with the moon,
Then, ask for it to tell the sun all my intentions when the mood's right
It's just... I figured that since you'd be waking up soon
You'd get a feel for all my thoughts while warming your skin with the smooth light.
Have patience though, I'm new to this. I'm unaccustomed
With baring the moon my secrets then asking for her to tell it
To the fortunate thing, that, at times, greets you 'fore me, the Sun.
(I figured that I'd work with it as opposed to just getting jealous)
However cliche that may sound... I think of you/ my thoughts are spent
On you bathing in the sunlight like the flower you are, accepting
That, if the Sun was placed by God, it's safe to say it's heaven sent
And, so, with that, I'd like to know... If it could, too, convey my message?
So I'm getting it together.. with the hope that when the night falls
We'd catch up and get caught up in conversation
After which, I hope the Moon, before sleep, gives the Sun a call
...So that he could relay to you my message as you're waking.
