Soumen Chattopadhyay Biography

Soumen chattopadhyay was born in a village, Madhutati, purulia, west Bengal engal, adjacent to Chottonagpur rocky area. Grew up in an environment where he has seen tribal village festivals in the lap of hills, virgin nature of dry rocky soil and tragedies of mankind clashed together, and turned him to poetry since his school day. In this strange world of simultaneous beauty and pain, he offered his soul to the sky to share with all, believing that there is no true begining, no true end and life lies just under the surface of death. Soumen chattopadhyay graduated from vidyasagar University, Midnapur [B.Sc (Hons) . in Physics].After receiving Master of science [M.Sc (Physics) with field of interest in Nuclear and particle physics].He did his B.Tech & M.Tech degree. And then worked for his Doctoral Topic, Titled— 'A Study On Destructive wave Interface In Open Cast Blasting Utilizing Precise Timing' (IIT—ISM Dhanbad) .Mr. Chattopadhyay is an active review committee member of ISSN— UGC approved International Journal (JETIR) & Some of his technical papers related to Seismic wave excitation, implementation of Geotechnical Science in Mining Engineering, Control Blasting Technology For Reduction in Ground Movment & Geophysics ETC. published in UGC approved National & International journals and NIT Rourkela.In this Regard he took personal help from his research guide DR.Pijush Pal Roy [ Director Of CSIR—CMERI Durgapur & Outstanding scientist CSIR—CIMFR, Dhanbad].Mr. Chattopadhyay obtained Mine Managership certificate of competency[in the field of Mining engineering, of the Government of India] and Joined Eastern coal field Limited, a subsidiary of Coal India Limited in the year 2008 and associated with HBITM polytechnic, Raniganj Government of West Bengal as a guest lecturer. presently associated with Luthffa engineering college Durgapur as guest lecturer)

হে অমৃত

হে অমৃত তুমি
মানুষের আকাঙ্খার ভেতরে রয়েছো

সকালের থেকে সূর্যাস্তের রূপান্তর
দেখেছি আমরা
সে ভাস্কর্য আকাশের গায়ে ফুটে ওঠে

সৃষ্টির করুন অন্তস্রাবে মানুষেরা
এঁকেছিলো জীবনের স্বাদ

সিন্ধুর প্রাচীন জলে স্নান সেরে ফিরে
শান্তির কুটিরে নিজেদের
ছড়িয়ে ছিলাম রাত্রি তরঙ্গের শান্ত তাপে

সেদিন তোমার ডাকে চূড়ান্ত মজেছি
নতুন শস্যের ক্ষেত ফসলে ভরলে
আবার অরণ্য মাধুরীর সুগন্ধে তোমাতে
অন্তরঙ্গ
হয়েছি আতীব্র

খড়ের সজ্জাতে জেগে থেকে
নিজেকে সেঁকেছি তীব্র স্ফুরিত ফুলের
নভিগন্ধে


ধমনীর গিট গুলি বারবার খুলে
অনন্তের আনন্দের স্রোতে এইভাবে
আমরা বেঁচেছি চিরকাল

পুরোনো দিনের সেইসব উৎসব ভুলেছি
মরেছি ঘরের ভিতরে ঘরের খোঁজে
চারকোন ঘিরে আছে গাঢ় বেদনার
অন্ধকার
এমন ছিলনা আমাদের বেঁচে থাকা
এতো অস্থিরতা
পর্ণ কুটিরে ছিলনা

শতাব্দীর রাত শেষে মনেপড়ে চির
আত্মীয় দ্বীপের জলগন্ধ
রাত্রিভোর ঘন স্বপ্ন আমাকে অস্থির করে।

প্রাচীন করুন কণ্ঠস্বর
দেহের ভেতরে জেগে থেকে
তপ্ত শ্বাসে চুরমার করে।

অসীমের অমৃতের পাত্র থেকে
আজ আমি জীবন চেয়েছি।

যে জীবন এঁকেছিলে তুমি
দাও, পর্ণ কুটিরের সেই জীবন আমাকে দাও
