the mystical fairy
clad in magic
led me to the forests
where my heart could rest
ravaged by the mortal world
the fey creatures surrounded me
giving me a heady healing concoction
made from poppy juice and lemon grass
unveiling my eyes so that I may see
all the beautiful wonders surrounding me
the pain that was clouding my vision gone
soon I saw the fey in nature's finest
dancing and frolicking in the woods
inviting me to come dance and play
I came shyly at first
then losing myself in their merriment
upon entering the forest I saw
that I wore a dress of many shades of grey
the fairies said the garment was wove from my grief
daily my dress was brightening
under their tender loving care
they said tucked underneath my cloak were newly budding wings
I was becoming one of them
soon I would be able to fly
high into the canopy
leaving my sadness tethered to the Earth
as I now donned a magical gown of many colors
my happiness shining like the sun
healed by the magical fairies
their love a balm to a maiden who had lost her way
I saw the fey! ! Thanks for sharing this poem with us.
