Beauty Poem by Laurence Read

Beauty

Your lips as soft as the petals of a rose,
were brushed with a coating of delicate spice
So natural is your beauty and grace,
And so lovely and vibrant your face,

Eyes that sparkle like stars in the night
When I stare at them I'm floating on high
Skin as warm as a winters' log fire.
A golden picture of true love's desire

I am so lucky to know you now
I have no right to ask ofyou
But a kiss from your lips I need
Like a craving my heart to feed

A wondrous beauty on earth bestowed
Not fashioned from lust or mans greed
Your person just blows my mind
A more loving person I could not find

If a dream this proved to be
Then I'llthank the heavens for sending
One so beautiful, loving and true
I'll never stop thinking of you.
