വിദ്വേഷക്കട വാതിലടച്ചു;
സ്നേഹക്കട സാദരം തുറന്നു.

കടക്കാർ തമ്മിൽ കടിപിടി;

Our death is not the first one of its kind,
It's not our first death,
Many minor deaths happened before.

Darkie noon meddled up with sky
Lonely hearts soaring up with eyes
Bits that swam by felt and sneered
Had not turned the pages filled

വീണ്ടും ഒരൊക്ടോബർ രണ്ട്,
നമിക്കാം, നമുക്കാ മഹാത്മാവിനെ,
ഇന്ത്യ തൻ ആത്മാവിനേ
തൊട്ടറിഞ്ഞ യുഗപുരുഷനേ.

വെള്ളമുണ്ട്, വെളുത്ത കുപ്പായം
വളഞ്ഞ കാലൻകുട
വെള്ളെഴുത്തിന് കണ്ണാടി
വലിയ നെറ്റിയിൽ കുറിയോ
...

ഗുരുവേ പരം ഗുരുവേ
ശ്രീനാരായണ ഗുരുവേ
ചെമ്പഴന്തി ചേലിൽ, ചേറിലമർന്നോർക്ക്
ചെങ്കതിരായ ഗുരുവേ.

നമ്മുടെ തോട്ടത്തിൽ
നാം വിളയിച്ചെടുത്തൊരീ പൂവ്,
ഇനി കൊഴിയില്ലെന്ന് കേൾപ്പൂ.
ഇതിൻ ഗന്ധവും സ്പർശവുമേകും
