The Best Kind Of Rain Poem by Jon Holloway

The Best Kind Of Rain

The Best Kind Of Rain

The worst rain of all is going to work rain
All of your cursing is completely in vain

Misty rain that can scarcely be felt on your face
Thin rain that strokes your skin like lace

Hissing rain whipping the dust into mud
Blobby rain hitting roofs with a thud

Angry rain ripping up puddle reflections
Cold rain reddening peoples complexions

Rain that sneaks through the smallest gap
No matter how snug and tight you wrap

The best rain is coming home rain
I don't care if it is a hurricane
