Silent Spaces Poem by Maria Barcan

Silent Spaces

When the nights turn long
All the stars call my name
All I hear is their song
As my heart is their aim
When the moon turns round
And the skies turn pale
I can't find any sound
That can silence their wail
When they suddenly cease
All my thoughts lose their pace
Since i can't make peace
With a silent space
When i hear their haul
I have but one concern
Should i answer their call
Will i ever return?
