Rebirth Poem by Maria Barcan

Rebirth

Rating: 5.0

I stood before the crushing ocean
Between the foaming ocean ridges
And in a heartbeat's worth of drive
I swam right through.

I left behind, with fear and caution
The ashes of our burnt down bridges
Then took an oath to live and thrive
To start anew.

Then took an oath to live and thrive To start anew. A great sense of rebirth while living......... like your determination to create a new future in spite of negative experiences.. tony.

8 lines that nicely draw the speaker's feeling, juxtaposing images of the ocean's waves crushing against the rocky coast with a new start..
