I am the very same person you knew
Days back when I was a little kid
Hovering around here and there like a buzzing bee
Still no one questioned why I did what I did
Because they knew I was a kid.
I don't know when did I grow up so big
That the laughter which charmed them all now
Became a matter of scorn.
The freedom with which I flew, all of a sudden
Became a speck in everyone's eyes
Because now I am not a daughter but a wife.
The dreams within me that bloomed all the time
Heard a loud cry to be shut down in the chest ground
For now is your work to birth a new world.
I agree to what you say is true and perfect
But is this the price I have to pay to be you.
Not willingly but yet I chose what you said
And laid self to give birth to you
And you were there in my arms, cute and little as you are
The very feel of you took away all anguish of self accomplishment
For the mere request, of being a mother giving, forever again
There is no pleasure compareable as to be a mother
And there is no service as high as to be a mother serving.
