Rhapsody Of Passion Poem by Bernedita Rosinha Pinto

Rhapsody Of Passion

Rating: 5.0

I know I can make you run on embers
I know I can make you search the dense forest
I know I can make you row over the oceans
I know I can make you walk the Thar desert
just to find me, just to see me.
I had possessed you with my love.
you have not been able to set yourself free
I have enslaved you with my passion
you have not been able to untie yourself
from the bondage, from the desire
to love me wildly, to love me disgracefully
as I am no longer free to love you
I belong to another now:
if only had you to ask yourself
before you let go off me
would you find another cuckoo
who would understand the songs of your heart?
you would never want to get dispossessed
by me and from the rhapsody of a true passion.
