Richard Branson - Bravo To You And Virgin Galactic Poem by Bernedita Rosinha Pinto

Richard Branson - Bravo To You And Virgin Galactic

A Dream come true journey you attempted -
was it really the child in you that made you
stick to your reverie?
Or was it your unforgettable inclination
that made you to go up there fearlessly -
fifty three miles beyond the boundary
of our earth's space?
Was this a reality the spectators watched
or was it a cinema that was far too enchanting?
And as so many men, so many minds watched the skies
it was only you who must have felt the true thrill
that you honored your own childhood vision -
to travel to outer space without any apprehensions.
And though your own heart must have felt an abxiety,
amidst the enthusiasm and allurement
your journey to space must have delighted you
as though childhood dreams are easily forgettable
you lived up to your expectations until its finality
for which you deserve a salute of appreciation.
And while you traveled up there, many waited with hopes
many brokered with their own dreams that someday
they too will go there and watch the curvature of the earth
just like you did and fill their own eyes with splendor.
And though so many miles across the globe
I myself have traveled so many times horizontally
over the seas and the oceans,
you have dared to travel vertically
those many miles beyond earth's space
and it baffles my imagination
but I admire your courage and victory.
Your fascination to go so far out
where no man lives, where no world exists;
and for you accomplish your mission
by your sincere adherence to your determination
was truly amazing as in your mind
many opportunities, many decisions must have assembled
but the one that makes man feel proudest
is when man does and attains what he wished for.
And now as you will sit back and smile,
your name - Sir Richard Branson of Virgin Galactic.
will be chiseled and cherished as the bravest man
who traveled afar to enhance space tourism
and bring within our vision our planet's magnificence.
