Prayer Of An Unknown Permission Poem by Bisy Untan

Prayer Of An Unknown Permission

Rating: 5.0

I don't know why this flower
Blooms with a touch of pain
By thy divine hand!

Truly I love the pain
Which helps it to bloom
To an unknown perfection.

Now and then I feel
Thy feathery touch
When the joyful pain appears
In my heart of heart.

Often it fades into a dream
With colorless colour of petals
Dropping one by one to somewhere.

I doubt whether you haven't find
A spot to this bloom in thy garland now,
But I pray,
Touch it,
Pluck it,
At least keep it,
By thy feet for ever...

You have observed that it sends forth its scent while its petals are dropping. So evidently you live close to this plant and see it every day. Perhaps its tiered inflorescence has symbolic meaning.
