New Glasses Poem by Varsha M

New Glasses

Rating: 5.0

The stout straight I stood
Right in front of his house
To provide wood to make
Furniture that everyone admire.
Selling me at good price
Will earn my master lavish life.
Burning me will give you warmth and fire
Just enough for you to prepare a meal
Every though dry and dead I stood
Meaningful is my presence.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
Life can have a very different look if we manage to visualise it with a new perspective. DA said how to write about death and sorrow so I made it a whole new.

Nicely conceived poem about a 'stout straight' dry and dead tree which wants its existence remains beneficial to its master who has tended it and looked after through out its life. Thanks for sharing.
