Dipped in the ink of emotions
My words finally speak volumes
As the heart rows along
The riverside you belong.
Day and night, I wait aficionados,
In hope to catch your glimpse
Energyzing my physiological clock
To accomplish all I am meant to rock
Only 'cause you sprinkled the spice
And transformed me to taste
As an awesome dish served
Winning everyone's heart.
A tiny minuscule on face of earth
I never thought I could be of worth
Had you not touched me, ever
Craving me like a potter.
Down on earth like a dust under foot
I would have traveled, without root
Slashed, crushed, and dumped
For I was no more good than to shake off indeed..
Your very eyes, lifted me high up
And with your hands, you picked me up
Mixed with water and kneaded gently
Until you made me slimy and smoothy.
Not even tired or wierd, you got
But on potter's wheel, me you put
Rolling it in full speed, while
Your hands gave me my profile
For you could see my beauty
Even when I was not so charmy.
You perceived my new look
Even when it was nowhere in book.
I owe you my gratitude
For donning me with attitude
As now I too have an identity
And a worth, called dignity.
Never I thought I could be more
Better than just dust on crust, dear
I owe you my everything
For you made me, value as something.
A gorgeous and touchingly beautiful poem on creation. Love it!
This poem has not been translated into any other language yet.
I would like to translate this poem
just beauteous! after reading this magnificent poem with your thoughts and imaginations, i know the profession of your father, he molds ugly things till the most beautiful, no? Just kidding, Varsha, amazingly rendered with honest tunes, still echoing in my mind!
Thank-you for your wonderful comments.
Your words hold true for both of my parents who taught me to be creative and innovative. My father is virtuous and my mother the true potter.
