Sitting there, mouth open, I watched
Same ol, same ol
News, shows, dramas, comedy's, and so on
"Entertain me", I sit, expectantly
So numb
So desensitized
Reality does not set in for days
Shock is postponed by my lack of deciphering what's real..
And, what's not?
I am moved to my core, a few days in
A Witness to the Horror.."HELP! "
A Witness to a live murdering of a brother
Who am I? Where does this greif come from,
Suddenly? His pleas sink in..
Pent up weeping flows........
I begin to realize what I have seen
I begin to regain a sensitivity I once had but lost
Entangled in all the dramas of shows
Like, Blue Bloods and Chicago PD and Fire.
Like CSI and NCIS, and SVU...
This was real! ! !
It was the real life drama of George Floyd.
God bless his Soul, and be with his family and friends.
Nothing fake, fiction and non-fiction can take my tears
The reality and depth of witnessing this injustice
Has shaken me to my core
Beliefs and prejudices are being questioned
Human lives are at stake here
Our Society must change
We must not murder in cold blood
We have a judicial system
We have rights
We have the right to live
We have the right to breathe
I cry out in Hope
Help! Help him! Help them!
I mourn the loss of lives
Innocent or not
Weeping Grieving Crying
Restoration is readily available
For those living in hopes of a brighter future
No more open mouth shock
No more numbness to the news
As if it were our daily entertainment
No more blind eyes
No more inequality
No more dehumanizing lives
No more sitting on the couch doing nothin
Doing nothing to help change the cause

What can I do to contribute to our society?
To make this a better world to live in?
What can we do to save lives in our future?
The future is up to us... isn't it?

So much more
We need an Agape Love
For all mankind
