Lost In A Vow Poem by Simbarashe Raymond Mudukuti

Lost In A Vow

To think I would turn into you
A daring old fool
With no sense of adventure
My time keeper went back into time
Met his future self
Satisfied, living fairly
Even helping other
The foolish young fellow vowed never to be him
With the refute the old wise fella knew the consequences
Told the clever young fellow
"Go and have some beers there are there in the fridge"
Especially your favourite martini on rocks
He knew his favourite
He had been past this stage
As he entered the kitchen
Bumped into his mom
And his parents never met
Vanished into time
All laced on a vow
