Killing The Deathless Poem by Parameswaran Nair Damodaran Nair

Killing The Deathless

Rating: 5.0

I went hunting treasure in words and deeds
They say the ocean fathoms miles deep
Holding immense treasure in the depths
I find no depths nor any hidden treasure
Wreckage of ships-full of hopes instead
Gripping fast to it empty shells sans pearls
Each shell contains a sea, each sea an ocean
Some of hot tears and some of lost cheers
No light delves nor waves stir them up
Coerced to be submerged always in dark
Truth floats dead, they say death is inevitable
Killing the deathless makes whose bread!

Truth floats dead, they say death is inevitable Killing the deathless makes whose bread! .... Excellent poetic expression

Thanks a lot dear Mahtab. Ships-full of hopes are sunk to the bottom of the ocean of harsh words and treacherous deeds. To find out the truth is vain for truth floats dead leaving its empty shells along with the wreckage

Thank you Terry Craddock. If we go searching the truth in other's words and deeds we can only see the dead truth floating above
