Jess:True Beauty Poem by Laurence Read

Jess:True Beauty

How do you portray, one whose beauty

Is far too charming to allow such praise

How do you start to paint a picture

Of one whose beauty can only amaze.

Exquisite, divine your style sublime

Your hair styled in tumbling tresses

A picture of elegance so glorious a sight

Your attire depicted in fabulous dresses.

Your demeanour so graceful, light and fair

One such as you, there is no equal

Like a well written book

There is no sequel.

A fabulous portrait, a snow laden scene

A romantic sleigh ride, or such other thought

Never can anything be more in tune

Whenthe heart of your true love is sought.

One whose passion is the fashion

Opals, rubies and gems galore

Diamonds, gold or such riches

Could not enhance your beauty more

Starry skiesor a moon lit night

Seem to pale in your beauty's veneer,

No amount of stardust or sprinkled lustre

Could ever lessen your shining sphere.

I know you think I rate you too high

But be fair, you are the best, it is true

I cannot or would not damn your praise

Darling for me,I could only want you.
