If I Die..... Poem by Bisy Untan

If I Die.....

Rating: 5.0

If I die on my sofa in this evening,
The birds in my garden will not cease singing,
The butterflies in the flowers will not stop their merry fluttering,
The squirrels in the tree in my courtyard
Will not stop playing hide and seek,
The brook near my house will not freeze without any ripples,
No weeping, no mourning,
It will be the purest lie as in every death.

If I die on my sofa in this evening,
The blushing in the east and west will be as ever,
The wind in the sky and the waning of the moon will be as ever,
The seasons will not forget to rotate for never,
The people in the town, in my village, and even in my house
will be busy as ever,
No weeping, no mourning,
It will be the purest lie as in every death.

My death will be celebrated by myself
As a jasmine dropping silently to earth
Or as a rose petal sinking softly down by the
touch of a breeze
Or as a pearly dew vanishing into the air
with the rising sun.
It will be the most silent music of the earth! ! !

COMMENTS OF THE POEM

Though we say such things, inside our heart of hearts, we wish that every body should mourn our death and most of us prefer to shun the reality that life will go on as before, even after our death! I like the last line much...!

wow how wonderfully said- My death will be celebrated by myself As a jasmine dropping silently to earth......./// it's a mystical note of own sense; it's great /// If I die no change will come there someone sob, someone cry, someone weep and then after a while as usual life................

This is real. We think that the world will mourn forever for our death. But it does not happen. Time flows with its usual pace and life goes on earth goes on as usual. Very nice really. Loved it.
