I Wrote You A Song. Poem by Monkals Kalu

I Wrote You A Song.

I wrote you a song.
Hey, cut the sheepish smile
It's not the familiar lullaby
Nor the mumbles in our airwaves.

This song is classic
You won't blink or wink
When the lyrics sink.
It's not the regular garbage.

I wrote the song at midnight
My brain was quite serene
Like a fine rain from
A cloudless sky after sunset.

I wrote a conscious song
One that resonates the soul.
It'll travel with you to your orb
And put your mind at awesome rest.

I wrote you the Afro song
Of great Fela Anikulapo Kuti,
Sweet reggae song of Bob Marley
Even classical song of Theophilus Mozart.
