Glaring Uncertainties. Poem by Monkals Kalu

Glaring Uncertainties.

They were close,
But not as lovers
They thought they were.

In the cold, she
Cuddles herself
With imaginations
Of his arms around her.

Her smile perishes
Stepwise in the sun
As it rises and sets
In the horizon of loneliness.

While on the other
Side of uncertainties,
He sits with disgruntled
Tiny voices in his thoughts.

He wonders why
He's so lonely and
Empty in a shiplet so
Difficult for the winds to sail.

No compatibilities,
Not even in their pains.
Each, a stranger to another
In their sweet imaginations.

How they got close
Remains a gargantuan
Mystery hard to decipher
In disarray, hence the dense
Frustration that clusters their
Hearts with Glaring Uncertainties.
