Darkness Poem by Marcy Kidder

Darkness

Rating: 5.0

A black blanket covers over me, nothing but darkness, my eyes see.

Stuck, Frozen, can't get away. Feeling frightened, full of anger and rage.

Pain like knifes, piercing in my skin. Always losses, just want one win.

Heart aching like pins through my eyes. Asking for the truth, but receive deception and lies.

Giving one hundred and want maybe twenty. This love so toxic, feeling so empty.

Five steps forward and tens steps back. Always alone and under attack.

Feeling used and taken advance of. This is the very misconception of love.

Maybe next life I'll reach my peak, for in this world, I only see defeat.

I'll push forward, live day by day. I'll bury my pain and hide my sadness away.

Re write your life when stuck in dark times. When ever you are at the bottom, it's all about the climb.
