'You Sleep While I Play' Poem by dvn mvn

I walked upstairs
and started playing on the piano.
I made up my own little song
it makes me think of you sleeping
so peaceful.
Like your drowsy eyes
and your sleep deprived giggle.
You could easily mistake the song
for something you'd hear while playing Minecraft
Minecraft makes my head dizzy.
Just like you.
When you touch me
in a way that only couples do,
it makes me head whirl
and the little hamster run faster
on the wheel that is my heart.
My heart wants to fly out of my chest
and it surprises me to no end that you can't hear it,
threatening to cave in
my entire chest
and make it's great escape.
