You My Love Poem by Laurence Read

You My Love

You truly are a lady fair

One to whom I cannot compare

Your elegance, grace and style

Stand you out, a country mile.

I cannot do the things you do

You give time for all I ask, of you

Your feature's show a rose in flower

Beautiful, in their blossoming hour.

I know you think I over praise

But from where I stand you amaze

You don't believe that it can be

I only say what I can see.

Your grace and favour do you proud

I long to tell the world out loud

I can only view it all in awe

For it is you..I adore.

You have a journey long to make

I pray, with you I get to undertake

You do it all with style

And I can only stand and smile.

There are ladies a plenty who,

Do not have the radiance of you

A quality you have in bulk

So I' m sorry if in jealousy I sulk

I cannot say without good grace

Your demeanour and your face

Are among the things to be admired

One as you can only be desired.

You prove that time again

That loving quality always remain,

I know you beam inside

You love is so hard to hide.

If I had the time to really say

All the things you do to make my day

I would need at least a week

To get my breath and then to speak

You are the most enigmatic lady

One who I care for daily,

In my poems and prose for you

No amount of justice can I do.

I know I've seen you in your ladies stuff

But sweetheart I cannot get enough

You send my pulses racing

When in your lingerie you're a pacing.

I promise to not tell you so much

How much I long for your touch

But, one thing I cannot promise to do

Is not to fall deeply in love with you.

A passionate bit of verse nicely embellished with poetic rhyme and rhythm. Lovely and very passionate.
