walk down the street
I see
the hungry
the homeless
the wounded
the lost
the lonely
My heart aches for humanity
I watch the news
I see
War
greed
suffering
indifference
hatred
I weep for humanity
where will
I see
compassion
kindness
tolerance
forgiveness
love

The greatest crime against humanity is neither loving nor hating other people but being indifferent towards them. Agape love is indeed the highest level of human development, the measure of civilized behaviour is compassion. A lovely piece you've got here. Thanks for sharing. Your heart aches for humanity seeing homeless and loveless people and this provokes thought. This poem makes readers very emotional. An amazing poem is brilliantly penned.10
