Were You Like The Old Wine Poem by Riza Braholli

Were You Like The Old Wine

Were you like the old wine

Were you like the old wine,
That all do yearn and thirst,
For sure I'd never wean
Evermore suck your breast.

Were you that wine again,
I used to drink frantically,
Sheets an' beds tonight in twain
We'd chew and tear surely.

Hard to revive old time,
Can't turn to twenties, do heed;
Tho' lawns and meadows begrime
Can't be our beds, indeed.

Your breasts will ne'er flourish
Despite my caress and kiss
Hung down an' ne'er cherish
No hustle does wander on lips

Don't want to sip up, the wine
No lure from your cup, as a sign.
O please, let me pray in my shrine
In taste, of the older grapevine

This is an interesting piece on love....love changes with age and time. I like how you used wine to deliciousy describe love in a romantic way! Beautiful! Aged wine is better :)

Aqua, are two poems for old wine: one is what you read and the other Older wine I think both poems make a full poetry... Thank you many poets!
