Stars Poem by Riza Braholli

Stars

Rating: 5.0

Stars,
The last inlay of night
saw their parting:
Hustled vestige, voices
shadows snuggled in leavened dew,
river pebble along the stream,
rolling,
bearing upon specks of the moon.
So did the milk leave the breast
of the young woman and the kid
nibbles and sucks crying
the drained breast of morning.
The tear tumbles from the eye
like stars.
