War And Poverty Poem by Fireguard Fire

War And Poverty

'Do you want a piece of me? '
A sound of sweet serenity
We bare our arms in unity
A sight for all of earth to see

We fight our wars father to son
But tell me are we ever done?
We joke like it is just for fun
While dead lie under the sun

We fight over what's in the past
Only to leave a scar to last
Then fight to break free from our cast
There goes the peace so very fast.

We fight to see a better day
Villainize those in the way
But what is really swept away
Is what some people have to say

We fight so we may have a choice
But doing so silence a voice
And defend those in their Rolls Royce
Then sit around and we rejoice
