Waiting For Spring Poem by keith brown

Waiting For Spring

When you left,
The black clouds of winter rolled in,
rain fell with the harshness of my tears.
Flowers hung their heads and hid
under the comfort of the shredded palms
Waiting for spring.
Time slept, waiting for the sun, as if
Our love had never been.
Till the buds broke
And
My garden was green
