Vices Poem by Odunayo Jacob

Vices

Rating: 4.7

Pick the lesser evil.
That is how life is.
The pure truth is filled with shades.
Select the set of lower vices.

Pick the ones that hurt the least.
Tell me why you will succeed;
'cept you embrace defeat.

Choose the vices you gain from.
Last night I saw you;
Throwing out skeletons from your cupboard.

You cant keep the garment white for so long.
Suffer your flesh no more;
Your soul is indifferent.

Man is thrown in the central cycle;
constant battle with complex vices.
Perfection they say is an illusion...

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
Life comes in; then it goes out. Life is constant, repetitive, and cyclical in behaviour.. Dont force it when you're around.
