O' Ukraine
Will thy cities ever stop to face the tears and tragedies?
will thy people ever stop to undergo the trauma and brutalities?
will thy lost paradise ever be revived back to its glory?
will thy dreams ever revert back to its vanity?
will thy grace ever be able to retain its grandeur?
will thy cities and towns ever recover their magnificence?

Will Ukrainians ever be able to retrace their steps
back to their homes and neighborhoods?
will friends ever meet friends again
or have they perished in the war that was so merciless?
will families ever get to sit together in unity
and eat sumptuously on their dinner tables again?
will time ever re-allot the opportunity to live
in dignity of existence which thy people miss and remember
or will tears have to keep overflowing in those eyes
that have lost their families and homes to that war
that still keeps raging so vehemently?

Will leaders still be over-zealous of their actions and keep fighting the war and ignore their carelessness towards humanity?
will bombs and explosions still keep pounding cities
that are already isolated and destroyed pitilessly?
will tomorrow make those soldiers feel more victorious knowing that thousands have lost their lives
due to their bombs and bullets firing
or will the conqueror feel more triumphant after harming humanity and making thousands of people die so innocently?

Will time ever get back that chance to turn back its clock
and hand over the energy and enthusiasm
that this war has taken away from the Ukrainian people?
will the sunrise of peace and solace never appear again on the streets of Ukraine that was once a country so full of calmness and respectful serenity?

Will perception and reasoning never show its power
and let those enemies go their separate ways
so that the homeless and the hungry,
the old and the helpless return back to their homes of love
and regroup their unity of care and togetherness
which has been misplaced by a war in their country
or will the world have to keep on watching the inhumanity
and injustice that is prevailing in Ukraine without getting
any chance to halt it?
