Doorway Of Time
Life keeps moving on thro the doorway of time
sometimes ushering satisfaction and happiness
sometimes bringing trophies of pride and success
sometimes discarding friends who act as rivals
sometimes bringing in strangers as new relations;
yet the passage of time also opens its doors
to hatred and hostility, disunity and dislike.
And as each one keeps looking out of the window of life
each one keeps hoping for their dreams to come true
each one peeps at others achievements and imitates
each one yearns for others wealth and competes
not realizing that what has been decided by fate and fortune
is all that man can accumulate as he walks thro
that doorway of time and life.
And whether he was born to live as a millionaire
or whether he has acquired a new home in his tenure
his origin he cannot forfeit or forget,
his destiny he has to accept and adjust
as it keeps unfurling before his eyes each chapter
of his inadequacy, inferiority and insecurity
whether it is from the past, present or future inclination.
And though upon the will-power of his own mind, man relies
to gauge superiority, admiration and praise
he either places fire in his eyes and lives unhappy and enraged
or chooses the stairway of peace to escalate
his harmony and grace
before he walks away thro' that doorway of life forever
never to return to see where are his treasures and gains
never to know what all he achieved for himself was in vain.
the dream of the rich is to seek humbleness!
And as each one keeps looking out of the window of life each one keeps hoping for their dreams to come true each one peeps at others achievements and imitates each one yearns for others wealth and competes.... do u believe in fate.... i do not believe in fate...... because whatever we achieve is blessed by God and we go on achieving till death........ thank u dear poet. tony
