Time Poem by Sharlene Tolbert

Time

Time is all I’m asking from you,
Time is something you do not have.
Why is it so hard for you to have fun and laugh?
Time for me and the kids would be nice.
Time for me would prevent a fight.
Why won’t you listen to me when I say our relationship is on a thin line?
If I just pack everything up and leave you, it won’t be right.
I’m just asking for a little time from you.
I’m hurting over here and I bet you don’t have a clue.
You are not showing that there is still love in this marriage.
I feel like there is nothing between us, nothing to cherish.
Tell me now before I go. How long you was sleeping with her and when were you going to let me know?
