The Virtue She Dons Poem by Varsha M

The Virtue She Dons

Rating: 5.0

Deep down within me
Resides a quiet selfie
Shy as sea urchin
But wild as boar if harm.

A gentle soul within
She seeks someone like her
Beaming bright with light
Yet humble in all he did.

Nothing big attracts her
Showoff doesn't work for her
But showers of compassion
Never fails to leave imprints on her.

Her eyes are like that of eagle
Even dreaming to escape is also impossible
Carefully anslyzing its move
She ultimately understands the routine.

Wisely she puts arrow on her bow
Adjusting her aim till it's almost perfect
Then lay her eye on the prey in front
Until right time to release that never misses.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
I have tried to describe the virtues a woman has that makes her the best. Even though hazy it may look it works.I chose the image because its haziness makes us to focus and ultimately understands what it is. Photo by Josh Withers on unsplash
