The Rain Takes All Her Joy Poem by Ramotlhaba Chrisjan

The Rain Takes All Her Joy

Rating: 5.0

To derive joy out of the silver
Drops
She would laugh and dance around
The silver lake
When I was young,
They used to tell me to stop
Playing on rain
That I might get sick
It wasn't a case
She fell in love with the
Lightning, the rainbow
Colour of the nation

The rain drops on her pink-dyed Hair
Penetrates and runs down through
Her cheeks
Even when she cries,
She can still feel the joy that
Comes from above
She knows that her tears faints away

She could run around the glade
Feeling the beauty of nature
She sings better
Cause she never cared if someone
Is listening
She sings for herself
"I wish I could grow wings"
Like she wanted to hover

Her delicate feeling,
Vanish on a rainy day
She always have dysfunctional day without rain
When the rain is gone,
She feels bitter
The rain takes all her joy
