The Little Things Poem by Mellisa Aday

The Little Things

It's all the little things you do
that you don't even realize your doing.
Insignificant things that wouldn't even be noticed,
Except the fact that I take note,
and therein lies my folly.

The way you look in my eyes.
When you absentmindedly hold my hand,
And your embrace during the night.

You admire all my self-perceived faults.
You seem to read my mind,
and know me as well as I do.

It's your fault I long to be with you.
The blame is yours to bear.
For the ideals you express make me respect you.
And your humor never fails.

It all adds up, these little things.
All these little, insignificant things,
That make me fall in love with you.
