The Fog Poem by Amar Agarwala

The Fog

THE FOG

When the night meanders down
Lonely winding pathways,
The fog comes in silently
And with the nocturne stays.

Like a widow at her veil
The wimple of a nun,
It pauses at some doorway
In a somber welcome.

It cavorts with the night wind
Telling stars not to peep,
Then sings a sweet lullaby
For the weary to sleep.

A phantom embrace done with
Kissing each one in turn,
It then whispers some secrets
All mortals need to learn.

Night long it regales verses
To mountains and the sea,
Then bids a languid farewell
To morning and to me.

This is a very beautiful poem. You can imagine things that we normally can not image. It is something like that your soul has been haunting during the nigh, t having access to unaccesiable secrets of the nature by a human in real life. Thank you.
