The Aces Of Life Poem by Olusanya Anjorin

The Aces Of Life

We are all playing card with life
In as much as we are alive
Sometimes life hurts
Abrupt, unfriendly and curt
And you feel like given up
If you know how close you are to your dream-cup
You will never give up to life

You have played all your cards
And it seems life is still hard
Life knocks you on the head
Get up and be in the lead!
As the champion takes it all
And stands tall
In the midst of the aces of life

Even when friends fooled you
And persecute you as the Jews
Were persecuted, but in the blink of an eye
They threw the dice
And became an unconquered race
Playing by the rules of life

When you throw no dice
You cannot break the ice
When you hold all your aces
And play all your aces
You will inevitably aced all aces of life
And live in your hive
Gladly admiring your life
