Suraj Dada Poem by Shaunak Chakraborty

Suraj Dada

Suraj Dada Suraj Dada
Tell us this
Why do you say dada
Let us understand this

A long time ago
Tell me my dear
Came out of the earth then
Your moon

The moon thought
He is the first
But it was wrong to see
The light is very deep

Twisted back when he saw
Sparkle
Came to mind
He was not the first

Sadly, Chanda gave him
Called guru
Since then,
the whole world has given him
Dada
