Suffocation Poem by Nichole Herrin

Suffocation

The suffocation of the noise,
of the silence.
Both pushing and pushing
until there's nothing left.
You don't know where to go.
Both wanted,
both desired,
both resented.
The silence pushes and pushes
down my throat,
in my mind,
through my body.
until I can no longer
breath or think.
The noise,
propelling through my mind,
thrusting through my ears,
my eyes,
my heart
till everything melds into one.
and then it all turns black.
