Her family is broken.
Her father's never home and when
he is, he doesn't even notice her.
Her brother is never here, always with
...

I keep telling myself
keep trying, just
keep trying to ignore
what they say about
...

Life is like a river.
It is faster at some parts
slower at other
but always putting
...

I learned not to cry.
Because if I did all my pain would come out.
I learned to hide behind my mask.
So people couldn't see my pain.
...

Afraid of being herself
she became what they wanted.
She tried to hide who she was
but after a while
...

I am surrounded by fog,
can't see an inch in front of my face.
I feel uncertain of this fog,
it's not the kind you want to be around.
...

I'm just a sad little girl,
passing through.
Acting as though I'll be here forever,
forever happy and smiling.
...

As I sit here, I forget why
I'm here. I forget everything
before and to happen.
I just sit here.
...

I'm the quiet girl, no one knew.
I'm the one they see,
the one who's just rushing around.
Avoiding talking.
...

I'm not here.
I'm just a mere ghost
of the girl who was.
I look the same,
...

Ignored
Everybody around me,
Doesn’t hear me.
They say, “Oh I know what your going through.”
...

Trapped.
Trapped in the monstrous body
limiting me from doing what
I feel is right.
...

Who is this person
I see staring back at me.
They're distant.
They aren't familiar.

Broken and in despair,
my soul has become silent.
My body in constant movement,
my mind and heart still.
...

Silent Soul
Broken and in despair,
my once colorful, passionate soul has become silent.
My body in constant movement,
...

The wall closing around me, the darkness surrounding.
Darker than the darkest black of night ever seen.
Pain, cold, numb, empty, lonely, broken
are all the words I could use at best to describe
...

Silence.
It frightens me so.
it screams the truth of things done,
things not done,
...

The suffocation of the noise,
of the silence.
Both pushing and pushing
until there's nothing left.
...

I'm hiding behind a mask,
and I can't figure out why.
I come home, and I throw the mask
off, I leave the house and the mask
...

Every time I look in the mirror
I see a liar.
I see a person I dont know
A face that may seem familiar

Broken Family

Her family is broken.
Her father's never home and when
he is, he doesn't even notice her.
Her brother is never here, always with
his girlfriend just so he can escape
this place. Her sister the drug addict
and alcoholic, takes her kid to
her ‘husbands' house where he
beats her and treats her like a slave,
cheating on her all the time.
Her mom doesn't care anymore,
just ignores everyone, just like her father.
She herself has given up on this broken family.
It may not seem as broken as the worst but
it's broken enough
for the little girl to
end her life. Leaving behind her family.
They wake up and realize
that their family is broken.
When it's too late
