Silent Soul Poem by Nichole Herrin

Silent Soul

Silent Soul
Broken and in despair,
my once colorful, passionate soul has become silent.
My body in constant movement,
my mind and heart still.
I'm lost, confused, don't even know
what's going on anymore.
I let them tug me around, let them
control me. Dress me up,
make me pretty.
Doesn't matter anyway.
I've sown my own mouth shut,
there's no hope for me.
