Silence Is A Crime Poem by Yiyan Han

Silence Is A Crime

Rating: 5.0

When a stray zebra is attacked by lions
Others in the herd flee at a full gallop
While a pack of wild boars are threatened
They'll launch a counter-attack to defend
Their weak and young. The different attitude
Has the different outcome

That an evil abuser can commit crimes
Over many years is often because some victims
Have felt ashamed, kept quiet and given in
Only 'til a brave heart stands up in public
Many come out and shout #MeToo. It's a little late
Little late as large scale damages have occurred

Can't wait 'til a father has been executed
For mistakenly killing a government demolisher of his home
Can't wait 'til a mother has been murdered by the police
Helped by gangsters 'cause she defended her right and sought justice
Can't wait 'til a husband has been kidnapped, tortured and secretly jailed
Can't wait 'til undergraduates have vanished
Can't wait 'til lungs have turned dark full of industrial dust. It's too late
Too late as many lives have already or will be lost

Shout when encountering thieves or shoplifters
Shout when facing sex abusers
Shout when suffering from the illegal law enforcement
Tell the world when a tyranny is brainwashing and fabricating facts
Tell the world when an autocratic regime is pushing its hidden agendas
Tell the world when rich rogues are buying conscience
Tell the world communism is the worst form of fascism, ie communist Nazis
The human suffering continues as long as communazi is in existence

Silence is a crime sometimes. It can turn fatal also when it is needed to open up. For fear of courting someone's displeasure, we often keep quiet! This encourages wickedness, corruption and all social evils! Great write with a great message to stand up for justice and fairness!

Silent mass is a phenomenon in free world, no mention in tyranny regimes! Thanks for your comments.

those that run are victims or those that fight and run away live to fight another day, those that fight defend win or die or revenge is a dish best served cold, run defend attack is often a numbers game, an individual will often lose where a group or gang may win, winning can be timing and a numbers game, bravery definitely counts

The different attitude Has the different outcome' true attitude can be everything, I am told at night it is better to shout fire not rape, fire gets more people more support faster, sadly apparently true, loved your poem
