Reassuring Sedative Poem by Thomas Plotz

Reassuring Sedative

Rating: 5.0

Like that,
The warmer winter changed;
Snow began to fly.

Sudden
Brutal.

Snapping quick, as if an object was caught in a
Downdraft wind shear.

There is hope; we are only on the edge of the storm front.
Even now, snowflakes have changed.

Moving ever slower,
As gentle tears
Are freezing into flakes.

Calming
Exhaling, slowly…

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
Haven't felt going out, while the weather was warmer.With a sudden snow squall, I still would rather stay hidden inside; hidden from my approaching fate.
