in a dark room late at night
when silence hides in darkness
in darkness every air molecule
power blinking cursor compels
so different from hand thrust
script fast written naked pen
sometimes quiet we still write
beautiful lines beautiful poems
with traditional ink and paper
write poems fast fleeting blinking
with traditional ink white paper
write in quick scribble time lines
the chances of cursive poems
getting into a computer screen
typed out posted promptly
if ever are slim not good
it is not a question of quality
rather catch up time opportunities

I've been old school for the longest time. There's something special about the process of writing with a pen on paper. That aside, I've composed some decent poems on my laptop. Terence, this is more than a decent tribute to Poet Hankins.
I wrote the poem 'A Modern Poet Should Try It', inspired by my reply to a comment by the poet Richard Wlodarski on the poem 'Power Blinking Cursor Compels', and dedicated to the poets L MILTON HANKINS and Richard Wlodarski.
P1a I feel a modern poet should try it why would a poet deny it, the chance to old school write with paper and pen,
P1b in moments of quiet contemplative night, the process is special can be mystical magical,
P2 in the stillness tactile touching paper pen in mellow darkness, under electrical light or flickering gold glowing candle light, half an hour an hour can slip away time lost,
P3 in thought exploring embracing intriguing waiting landscapes, creative imagery lures adventures within inner mind limitless horizons.
