Please Stop By Moses Abolade And Janielle Beh

Please Stop

Verse 1 (Spoken)
When will life…
Worth more than the bullet
When will peace…
Be worth more than the conflict?
What triggered their anger?
What then stripped their bangers?
They see humans like rats without mothers
What could be the trigger to this brutal answer?
Why on earth is their heart a den of danger?
Why is death your answer?
You had no right to pull the trigger
Verse 2 (Spoken)
When will they realise
They didn't just kill someone
When will they realise
Their bullets hit a nation unborn
Do they feel a mother's child gone?
Do they feel a father's heart torn?
No excuse to kill a soul
A soul not condemned by the gavel
No excuse to step over the grave
It shows the worst demons in their eyes

This could be a chorus:
Please stop.
You cannot fight the dead
You are weak
Please stop.
You hang in shame
Please stop!
You are weaker than you think
Do you still have a conscience?
Do you see His ommiscience?
You have no right to pull the trigger
You have no right to pull the trigger.
