Please Just Hold On Poem by jason medina

Please Just Hold On

The purpose of life.
The truth that everyone tries to find
The answer to the question that everyone has cried
'Why? Why is this my life? '

And we either haveon our hands a thousand questions
with no answer
or a thousand answers
for just one question
And we are quick to hate those who would dare to mention
that what we must seek
is divine intervention.

And nothing seems to fall in its place
except for a world that has fallen from grace.
What we are is the outcome of a perfect picture
that has been so poorly traced.

It wasnt supposed to be this way
But someday we say; it will all be ok
Someday;
just not today.

But that someday never comes
and our lives become so numb
and we trust our hearts
in the hands of those who will only tear them apart

And to our words are actions become contradiction
And those contradictions blind us to our addictions
we become what we hate the most
we haunt ourselves
Our own personal ghousts
we make ourselves prisoners
Trapped in our own little worlds

But what we do not realize
is that the doors are not locked;
We were only held by the bind
made Of our own false thoughts.
The fate that our sins had in mind.
died at the cross
The day our freedom was bought.

So we can step out and live at last.
But we will need to work for the patience and for the faith
to live better days;
brighter than those of our past.
in which faith and patience
were just troubles to be had.

But dont be ashamed now to fall to your knees and pray
Because life will continue to have its troubles
day after day

But just hold on
please just hold on
We can make it
I know we can make it

But only together however.
only together can we wheather
any troubles that come along

So please
please just hold on
