That friend that you have always been
I need you to always be.

Now that I have known that type of vulnerability
I do not want to live without that sort of thing.

I dont care to be strong all the time
My brightest days have come from my weakest nights.

But no matter what version of me.
That friend that you have always been
I need you to always be.

We are here for a millon reasons
Just never the right one.
There is no right one.
Just a million different reasons.

But whatever reason you find for you or for me.
That friend you have always been
I need you to always be

Now pain always feels the same
It may look different
But it always feels like pain.

And no matter what it looks like on you, or on me
That friend that you need
Is the friend I will always be.

And we know the sun cant always shine
Some days just have to be gray
So when we cant shine like the sun
We will then fall like the rain.

And promise me no matter how much you may change
That you will always be the same;

because if the worst may become of you or of me
The friends we have always been
I need us to always be
